Abstract:
The article cites a study of virtual reference services (VRS) from user, non-user and librarian perspectives by Lynn Silipigni of OCLC and Marie L. Radford of the Rutgers University School of Communication, Information and Library Studies. Funded by a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services and in-kind contributions, the research will examine factors that influence the selection and use of synchronous VRS and study user and staff perceptions of satisfaction.
