Abstract:
Presents the author's thoughts on lessons learned from opening a homework chat room that only received one question in a month. Use of multitasking at workstations to prevent boredom; Lack of understanding about how the consumer gets information; Need for measurement of the chat service for comparison with reference desk traffic; Outlook for another program from the Morris County Library in New Jersey.
