Abstract:
The article provides information regarding the research in virtual reference environments in the U.S. The author infers that an extraordinary interesting and somewhat paradoxical patter is revealed in comparing trends in use statistics in academic versus public libraries over several years. Maybe because of their elusive nature, the information-seeking behaviors of non-user of library systems and services are seldom addressed directly in the library and information science literature. According to the conclusion of most research, libraries are not usually the first choice of people looking for information.
