Abstract:
The author ponders on the future of reference services. She comments on the presentation of Maria Radford, an associate professor in the Rutgers University School of Communication, at a two-day Penn State University Libraries reference retreat regarding reference services. She emphasizes the importance of training in managing reference services. She describes the reference environment at Penn State University Libraries.
